Upcoming project from Mike Judge (Beavis & Butthead, King of the Hill, etc.) featuring Jason Bateman, Ben Affleck, Mila Kunis, and Kristen Wiig.  Even with the so-called "Affleck effect" (which i personally don't agree with, i liked Jersey Girl), it still looks hilarious.  And truth be told, of all the characters in the preview i like his the most.



Extract - Coming to a theater near you this Labor Day

It has been a while since i've seen a movie that has been able to encapsulate the times and experience of a generation of kids like this movie has been able to.  Set up documentary style, and covering a slew of topics like booze, house parties, boys, girls, and the power of the p, among others.  Here's the first two minutes of the movie. I find it much more enticing than the actual trailers for the film.

if that hasn't convinced you that you need to watch the whole movie, then i don't know what will.  You might need to do some soul searching then.  You can rent or buy the movie at www.boysandgirlsguide.com , cos you're not going to find it anywhere else. You could try, but it'd be a waste of your time, and no one wants that. Enjoy.

In my previous post I mentioned Cadillac Records (based on a true story). I saw the movie last night and was fully entertained. Etta James, Muddy Waters, and the story of the Chess Family record label is pretty remarkable. The character who most stuck with me though is Howlin' Wolf, played by Eamonn Walker. He is one intimidating motherfucker. That's all I have to say. Go watch it. Here's a preview:

Coming to a theater near you December 5.

This show premiered tonight and is so funny. Originated in Australia, this mockumentary takes a look at various characters at this high school. All the characters are played by one actor, Chris Lilley, and he is damn good. You gotta check it out. Here's a clip:

When you have Paul Rudd, Sean William Scott, Elizabeth Banks, Christopher Mintz-Plasse (aka McLovin), and a little black boy as your cast it pretty much guarantees that anyone with half a sense of humor will probably enjoy this.  There's a lot to this preview, my favorite part is when McLovin asks Paul Rudd if he'll be a member of the Xanthian army.  Piers Anthony would be proud.  Role Models - Coming Soon

The trailer is narrated by the main character, a Ukrainian man named A.K. (Eugene Hutz, from Gogol Bordello), who moonlights as a cross-dressing dominatrix to finance his rock star aspirations. The movie revolves around A.K. and his two female flatmates: "Holly (Holly Weston), a ballet dancer who works as a stripper... at a local club and Juliette (Vicky McClure), a pharmacy assistant who dreams of going to Africa to help starving children."
