So i'm going to take you back to the age of the boy band right now.  I kinda always like the melody of this song; the lyrics, not so much.  I mean it's not like i really expected them to win any songwriting contests.  But i heard it again over the weekend, and all i can say is that i cannot believe that kids were listening to this.  If only they were paying attention, or maybe, i was just the only one not hearing what they were saying. Oh well, here's a chance to revisit some high school memories (good or bad).  O-Town - We fit together

We'll start contemporary.  This Canadian crooner has been plying his trade for a number of years by keeping it real swank.  In an era where his sound can be overlooked as a relic of the past, he's stayed true to his calling and is finally getting some notoreity for it. Here he is on a remake of a Van Morrison classic.  Michael Buble - Moondance

This next artist may not have invented the game, but he sure played it better than anyone else that came before him.  And while he was at it, redefined what it meant to be "cool" for generations after him.  The one and only 'ol blue eyes.  Take notes people.  Frank Sinatra - Cheek to Cheek

It has been a while since i've seen a movie that has been able to encapsulate the times and experience of a generation of kids like this movie has been able to.  Set up documentary style, and covering a slew of topics like booze, house parties, boys, girls, and the power of the p, among others.  Here's the first two minutes of the movie. I find it much more enticing than the actual trailers for the film.

Omg this is my 3rd time writing ths blog. My own technical issues I guess.  anyway..

This is day 3 of this song being played on repeat for me. I don't know what it is about this song that I love but I lllooovveee it. Anyway, these guys' roots trace back to an undergroup hip hop group formed at UC Davis. This makes me think that it's not too late for me to be a starrrrr one day

So today I found out about the Whopper Sacrifice. A brilliant viral marketing campaign on Facebook.com. Adding an application allows you to sacrifice (remove) 10 friends for a Whopper! I had to do it just to see what this campaign had. Once you select a friend to 'sacrifice', you watch their profile photo burn to ashes. While burning, these following words appear below:

"You liked your friend.
You love the Whopper."



The funny thing is that when you sacrifice a friend, they get a notification that says, "George likes you, but loves the WHOPPER. George sacrificed you for a free burger at WHOPPER Sacrifice."



Once you nix 10 unfortunate souls, you go to a page, fill out your info and await your WHOPPER in the mail - or hopefully just a coupon. From the confirmation page, there is a link to a great documentary-style WHOPPER Virgins ad, which you can watch below:

Haha, I am so bad, but I'm in class right now blogging this.  

Anyway, I ran across this video on iTunes and I think it's awesome. it's beautifully done and very creative. I wonder how long this took to make and edit this video.
