iPad Parody Video | Spoof by Doritos | Genius!

By George
Piggy-backing on the previous viral marketing commercial, nothing will become more viral than a parody of an already-highly-buzzed topic. And for the past month or so that topic is: "iPad".

Props to Doritos (and their creative marketing agency) for this a quite impressive Doritos microsite and this briliant Spoof:

And if you haven't yet checked out the actual iPad, you should.

VW Polo Confidence Singing Dog Commercial

By George
On 1/31 the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) in Boston had a screening of Award Winning Commercials from the UK. The screening was quite entertaining and showed all the way through without any... er... commercial breaks...

The one ad that had me bustin' a gut was from Volkswagen Polo - Confidence. Make sure you have your volume up when you view this commercial.

Galactic Fractures Radio

For those unaware of the rare quality of funk and soul in and around New England, it might be partly because you've never heard the Galactic Fractures radio show.  It's hosted by PJ Gray and broadcast Sundays 2-4pm on WMFO 91.5FM .  Whether it's PJ spinning or one of the several amazing DJ's to have graced the decks at WMFO, the quality speaks for itself.  So do the archives, dating back to 2001.  The Galactic Fractures website might be exactly what your music library is lacking.  I'll jumpoff with two sick shows from the archive. The rest is in your hands. Start digging....

The Art of: Tenne Fatona

Perspective.  An artist without perspective is like a writer without content.  The more of it one has the fuller understanding they have of any subject, which in turn allows them to present truth as it is, unadulterated.  Whether it be art, humanity, philosophy, whatever.  This jet-setting London based artist is blessed as such, and it's evident in the scope of his work.  Like he says, "my friend, clear your mind of can't".  If the sum of our lives are in our experiences, his tally is soaring.  Pay close attention to MrMadeofCodes. In other words Tenne Fatona

The Jumpoff 12.15.09

By Afolabi
What it is people.  While were on the topic of haunting music that you can't get out of your head (thank you Corey!).  Here are a couple that will most definitely percolate around your cranium for a while.  Plus some images that will certainly do the same.  Welcome to The Jumpoff!

Where is Lloyd?  This song is probably about two years old now, but for whatever reason each time i hear it again it always seems like the first time hearing it.  The remix is also just as persistent, but the original "oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh g-g-g-get it shawty" gets me everytime.  Get yours.  Lloyd - Get it Shawty

I dare you to listen to this and not get it stuck in your head.  Pick one, the verse, the chorus, the beat; it will stay with you.  Whatever your feelings may be about The Dutchess, just remember that the "the girl can't help it."  Fergie - Clumsy

That'll do it today.  Try to keep your mind positive, regardless of what finds its way into your head.  Stay cool. Until next time, be easy.
